Some of the most enjoyable SEO campaigns for us have been those that are the most challenging.
What’s the fun in helping out a company that is already doing well?
We are the solution guys, we like to solve things for our clients.
This is a pretty little tale of one of those SEO campaigns, for a detergent retailer who was suffering from low traffic sugar.
we lifted their algorithmic penalty and increased their traffic by 4X and doubled their revenue.
But let’s take a look at the problem first.
The Challenge
The website’s traffic isn’t growing and is actually going down. Despite trying different ways to attract more visitors, things aren’t getting better. It’s important to figure out why this is happening and find new ways to get more people to visit the site. Taking quick action and finding better strategies are needed to turn things around and make the site popular again.
The Solution
Conducted Competitor and Keyword Gap Analysis:
We started working on the detergent-selling website in October 2022. Initially, their website traffic experienced a consistent decline. To remedy this, we formulated a plan, conducted competitor and keyword gap analyses. We then created a content brief, initiating the publication of new content and optimized the existing content by improving keywords, titles, H1s, and meta descriptions. Consequently, the site’s traffic has significantly improved, showing an upward trend in the graph. This threefold 4x increase in traffic is a result of enhanced keyword selection and comprehensive competitor analysis
Used long-tail keywords to rank:
We targeted bottom-of-the-funnel customer journey keywords that signified commercial intent:
Bottom-of-the-Funnel keywords are keywords that focused on driving conversions rather than traffic.
They are used by buyers who are actively in-market and ready to make a purchase.
This strategy is mostly used B2C businesses who have tech-savvy buyers that know what they are searching for.
The graph below how most of the keywords that we used for this client ranked on the SERPs. Yes most of them were in the top 10 and hence on the first page:
The Challenge
Inconsistent Growth:
The inconsistent growth of a site occur due to various reasons such as irregular content updates, changes in search engine algorithms affecting visibility, inadequate SEO strategies, intense competition, or issues with website performance and user experience. Additionally, factors like insufficient marketing efforts, ineffective targeting of the audience, or shifts in market trends can also contribute to inconsistent site growth. Identifying the specific cause requires a thorough analysis of the site’s analytics, strategies, and market dynamics to address and rectify the underlying issues.
The Solution
Relevance and Targeted Audience Engagement:
We have updated website content and targeting the right audience is pivotal for a site’s success. Regularly refreshing content maintains relevance, engages visitors, and enhances search engine visibility. Tailoring content to the intended audience ensures resonance, trust-building, and higher chances of conversions. By staying current and targeting the right audience, a website can adapt to trends, build authority, and boost its competitive edge in the online landscape.
The Challenge
The Site’s keywords Were Not Ranking Well:
Initially, the website had minimal keywords ranked in the top 3 positions, limiting its visibility. The content lacked optimization, impacting its performance in search results. This resulted in lower rankings and reduced visibility on search engines.
The Solution
Keyword Gap Analysis and publishing Content:
We began work on this website in October 2022, where very few keywords were within the top 3 rankings. The content wasn’t well-optimized initially. Subsequently, after conducting a more refined keyword gap analysis and publishing content enriched with highly relevant and optimized keywords, a significant number of site keywords have now appeared in the top 3 rankings. As a result, the site traffic has increased fourfold.
Intent-Based Keyword Strategy:
We used answer-based keywords to rank targeting BOFU (bottom-of-the-funnel) customers, driving action and saving costs instead of targeting other funnels:
Based on this keyword strategy, we were able to rank the site in the top 3 search results for the majority of keywords:
